How can I use the "animation" feature in my MimioStudio Notebook?
The MimioStudio Notebook animation feature can help teachers create truly dynamic and powerful lessons! The animation feature can bring impressive visual effects to your content. The MimioStudio Notebook animation feature can also be used to teach students course content in an interactive way.
This short video demonstrates how to use the animation feature within MimioStudio Notebook. The video also illustrates ways in which to use the MimioStudio animation feature in the classroom for educational purposes.
How do you annotate on top of a word document?
Annotating a file is so easy! First, open up the File you wish to annotate (I believe you are using a Word Document). Next, position everything on the screen the way you would like (once you freeze the screen you are unable to zoom, scroll down etc.) Now, press on the Screen Annotation on your Toolbar (the last button, lower right hand corner). Your screen will now freeze and you are able to annotate everything using the various tools on your Toolbar. Once you have completed your annotations simply press ESC on your keyboard or right click and select “CLOSE.” You will find a copy of your newly annotated page in your Gallery inside the Screen Annotations folder.
I create my math lessons on Mimio. I want to post them to my web site as a PDF so my students have access to them from home. How can I do that?
What a great idea! To do this go to FILE>SAVE AS in MimioStudio Notebook and then at the bottom of the SAVE AS menu you will see FILES OF TYPE. Drop down that menu and select PDF from the list there. You will have the option to save the current page, all pages, or a selected page range. You are also able to select the picture size. Once you've selected the above options simply click on OK and you now have a PDF copy of your lesson. Just be sure to save your original lesson first as a regular .ink file before saving it in another format!
I seemed to have lost the Mimio tools. How do I get it back?
Excellent question and one that we see quite often. It is possible that the toolbar gets hidden between different applications you have open if you are switching back and forth. You should be able to open up for Toolbar from TOOLS>MIMIOSTUDIO TOOLS in the top menu of notebook, from the shortcut on your computer or from the paintbrush icon in the lower right hand corner of MimioStudio Notebook. If for some reason you are still not able to find it I would save your document and close out of Notebook completely and then reopen it.
