This detailed, yet simple, introductory lesson is a good starting point for building student knowledge of the pronoun (subject and object.) The lesson lays the foundation for adding another component to the student’s prior knowledge of our language’s parts of speech. Instructional slides are presented along with a few practice slides, culminating with a basic five question skill review. This lesson was designed for direct instruction. The lesson offers a repetitive and familiar framework for students to follow.

Lesson Design: This lesson was designed for introducing pronouns (subject and object)by building student knowledge for future pronoun lessons.

Objective: Students will identify and use subject and object pronouns.

C.A.S.S. LC1.2 Identify subjects and verbs that are in agreement and identify and use pronouns, adjectives, compound words, and articles correctly in writing and speaking.
