Summary:Essential Question: What 21st century skills will I need to meet the personal financial challenges of living and working in a diverse, digital, and global society?
Fifth grade students will study personal financial literacy and what it means to a 5th grader in 2011. Students are divided into groups and will research one of 5 areas: credit, checking, savings, investing, and loans. After researching and then clarifying with outside experts, students will create an infomercial about personal financial literacy on VoiceThread©.The students will then comment upon other presentations and fill out a group and self assessment.
I have an entire lesson plan and assessment rubrics that if you contact me, I will happily share.
