Place Value Flip Chart

Children are asked to create a number, move digits either onto the place value board or into the blank square above. There is a one to millions board and a thousandths to thousands board.

Ladybird Doubles

A game the children can play to learn the basic doubles. 1 = 6 die, 1 - 10 die. Roll die and double the number, cover the ladybird spot. Winner the one to cover all the spots first.

Abacus - Hundreds, Tens, Ones

Learning Intention: I am learning to apply my place value knowledge. Students move rings onto the abacus to show the number. This fits into the New Zealand numeracy project in Book 4, Teaching Number Knowledge.
