Summary:Today we are learning about things that are the same. When we look at something, we use our sense of sight to compare and learn. Today we are going to look at things and see if they are the same or they are different. We will have a chance to play a game and sort some shapes and letters to see if you can use your sense of sight and tell if they are the same.
First activity. Teacher demonstrates by discussing attributes (color, shape, size) for each shape. Teacher demonstrates an example and a non-example. Students have the opportunity to practice.
Second page sort capital and lower case M.
Third page sort capital, lower case, and fancy A.
Last page sort images of an apple, a moon, and a spider.
Many things can be reviewed while teaching this lesson including the concepts of more, less, equal, beginning sounds, word example. Do as much or as little as you please - Enjoy!
