Summary:This presentation can be used for first grade and up, and is beneficial in teaching skills neede for self-sustained reading time during the school day, or as some may title it, DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) time.
Most of the principles in the lesson come from the Daily Five and the Two Sisters, Gail Boushey and Joan Moser. I use the presentation to remind students of expectations during DEAR time and may only need 1-2 of the slides for any given day. I also have inserted slides with photos of my students demonstrating good reading skills in the version that I use in my classroom. Happy Reading!Tags/Keywords:
