Summary:This lesson is based on the website, Into the Book, and the book, Reading Power by Adrienne Gear. It teaches the student about why they should make connections. It also teaches the 3 types of connections a good reader will make. I recommend that you follow up the lesson with a read-aloud and students posting their connections with sticky notes on the text. Finally they should read their own book and write about their connectins.
