Summary: February is Black History Month! Follow our Black History timeline by researching important people and events from our country's history. Many African American men and women have made an impact on our country's government, laws, and rights. Explore mini-lessons on Barack Obama, Frederick Douglass, Martin Luther King Jr, Rosa Parks, Sojourner Truth, and Thurgood Marshall. Have students participate in interactive activities based on K-5 and 6-12 grade lessons.
Mini-lessons could be used in part or in whole with the ability to break lessons into multiple days and refer back to the main lesson when desired. Lots of content and possibilites to last you all month long!
