Summary:Learners explain the different times they know (as listed on the slide). Class then brainstorms reasons to know the time. Different instruments to measure time are then shown and class are asked to explain them (if don't know, teacher explains). A calendar is shown and learners are asked to read the days of various dates. They count a week forward and a week back using the calendar to determine the date. Learners are introduced to the terminology digital and analogue. Learners then match up the number to the time period e.g. 24 hours in a day. Learners then perform a series of timed tasks using the mimio timer. Learners match up the name with the hands of the clock. Learners then sequence various times. Learners then match up times - written to digital, written to analogue, digital to analogue.
